The most famous festival in Madayi Kavu is Pooram. The annual festival of Pooram Kuli is attended by thousands of people from  different parts of Kerala and Karnataka. The Madayi Kavu is situated over Madayipara hills. Pooram Kuli happens in the month of March or April according to the local calendar dates.
